Stage Controllers & Others

1. Motor Phase Current Automatic Setting Function

QT-BMM2, QT-BMH2, and QT-BMM3 automatically set the motor phase current according to the connected stage (limited to use in combination with our motorized stage and connection cable).
The motor phase current is automatically set according to the connected motorized stage, so motorized stages with different phase currents for each axis can be connected without adjustment.
You can also manually set the phase current by changing parameters.

Example: Connect 0.75A/phase to A axis, 0.35A/phase to B axis, 1.2A/phase to C axis, no current adjustment required.

2. Compatibility with QT-A series

Compatibility with the QT-A series is maintained, and new functions have been added.
The application program and QT-EDIT program created for the QT-A series controller can be used as is.

3. Built-In Unit Display Function

The unit display function allows easy display of symbols for units such as mm, μm, decimal degrees, or degrees minutes and seconds. Units to be displayed in advance and the stage resolution (when using stages produced by our company, the resolution described in the catalogue is entered) can be configured individually for each axis to allow direct reading of the travel distance. (Measurement precision can depend on the individual positioning precision for each stage.)

4. Various Built-In Home Return Functions

In addition to the home (zero) return mode that uses each of the stage sensors (LIMIT, Pre-HOME, HOME), there is also a home (zero) return mode that uses the zero coordinate value as its home (origin) position.
This home (zero) return function allows any arbitrary point to be set as the home position.

5. Equipped with Program Operation and Teaching Features

Support for teaching with the QT-B series is provided by using the downloadable data-type program for manually operated devices (QT-AK, QT-AK3).

6. Windows Compatible Downloadable Program Editor Called “QT-EDIT” is Included as Standard with All QT-B

QT-EDIT can be used to effortlessly create travel patterns. Generated operation patterns can be downloaded (written) to a QT-B series controller which allows stand-alone controller execution. In addition, it is possible to obtain a dump of the operation pattern data that was written to the controller, edit it in QT-EDIT before re-writing it back to the controller.

7. Equipped With a Wide Array of I/O Ports

The QT-BDL1 is equipped as standard with general-purpose input and output, program channel selection input, drive pulse output, travel/stop determination output, program in-operation output, and program start/stop input ports. (However, program start/stop input must only be used with one of either general-purpose input or program channel selection input selected. Both cannot be selected at once. This must also be used with only one of either general-purpose output or travel/stop determination output selected. Both cannot be selected at the same time.)

The QT-BMM2, QT-BMH2, and QT-BMM3 are equipped with general-purpose input and output, program channel selection input, drive pulse input, drive pulse output, travel/stop determination output, program in-operation output, program start/stop input, and arbitrary step pulse output ports. With use in combination with the optional isolation interface (QT-AT), it is possible to connect to external devices.
(The QT-AT interface is required in order to use the I/O ports in models QT-BMM2, QT-BMH2, and QT-BMM3. I/O ports cannot be used if there is no QT-AT unit.QT-AT is required DC5 to 24V power supply.)

8. For Connection to a PC, the RS-232C Interface is Included as Standard in All Controller Models

The QT-BMM2, QT-BMH2 and QT-BMM3 models are all equipped with USB capabilities.
USB can be operated through a virtual com port (VCP), allowing the creation of application programs in the same manner as the RS-232C.

9. Analog Joystick (QT-AJ)

The QT-BMM2, QT-BMH2, and QT-BMM3 are able to be connected to the QT-AJ (sold separately) analog joystick. (The QT-BDL1 is without joystick connectivity.)
This joystick is packed with a wide variety of functions such as jog control where the speed can be varied depending on the joystick tilt angle, jog/step control switching, speed table selection, and one-step movement.

10. Emergency Stop Input Terminal Equipped as Standard

All QT-B series controller/drivers are equipped with an emergency stop input terminal as standard. This terminal can be connected to an emergency stop switch.

11. Easy Configuration for Connecting Stages

In accordance with a connecting stage, Limit sensor logic, Home sensor logic, Pre-home sensor logic, and the home (zero) return mode can be effortlessly configured with a single parameter. (This is limited to stages manufactured by our company. Stages manufactured by others are not supported.)

12. Support for Z Stages With Electromagnetic Brakes

When used in conjunction with the QT-BDL1, QT-BMM2, QT-BMH2, or QT-BMM3, it is possible to drive an electromagnetic brake equipped Z stage made by our company.
The QT-BK (sold separately) can be connected only to single axes as needed. This helps to keep costs under control. (QT-BK is required DC24V power supply or QT-AC.)

13. Equipped with a Low-vibration and High-torque Motor Driver

Equipped with a full-time microstep driver, it has achieved lower-vibration and low-noise across the entire speed range and increased torque compared to conventional microstep drivers.

14. Support for Flexible Input Voltages

The QT-BDL1 is designed to use a DC24V power supply. This is suited for use in places where a DC24V power supply can be secured such as on production lines.
The QT-BMM2, QT-BMH2 and QT-BMM3 can run off any AC90 to 240V (50/60Hz) power supply.

15. All QT-B Series Controller Drivers are Equipped with S-Shaped Drive Capabilities

S-shaped drive allows smooth acceleration and deceleration.

16. Equipped with Linear/Circular Interpolation Functions

QT-BMM2, QT-BMH2, and QT-BMM3 come standard with 2-axis linear interpolation and circular interpolation functions.
(QT-BMM3 interpolates only the AB axis. Interpolation movement including the C axis is not possible)

17. Equipped with Linear Scale Input (Only for QT-BMH2) as Standard

This means that closed loop control is possible by connecting stages that have linear scales (made by us).
(We cannot guarantee that this will work for stages manufactured by other companies.)
