Features

  • This system supports the microscope evolving from "looking through a microscope" to "seeing by using a microscope" and to "measure the observed image." It is the digital camera system for microscope that the usability and the high performance are sought.
  • The camera is applying C mount type, 1/1.8" color CCD, 2 million pixels, 15 fps (frame/sec), and USB2.0.
  • To connect with the microscope, an adaptor is applicable when the inner diameter of the eyepiece is 23.2mm or 30mm. C mount is also available for connecting.
  • Other than the microscope, it can be mounted to a 3D measuring machine (manual) and a hardness gauge as an optical camera head via C mount adaptor.

Main Features of High-Performance Software Image X Earth

Image combination function

It combines several adjacent images to a wide-field image seamlessly. Therefore, observing with a wide field of view is available even with a narrow-field view microscope. It provides an easy image combination just by specifying combining positions and executing automatic fitting. Measurement is also available on the image after combining.

Focus stacking function

Because the focus depth (view field in focus) is small in the microscopic images, it is difficult to grasp the total image of the object. However, with this function, it is available to display a wide-field image that has focus at all over the image by combining several images with different focuses. In addition, by inputting a numeral value for Z axis position during image shooting, colored display with height-direction images is also available.

Live screen display (full-size display is also available)

Displaying a live image in a full size (maximum size) is available, which provides easy exterior inspection on the monitor.

Image processing

Binalization of the image, rotation and inclination corrections, writing comments on the image, color shade and brightness adjustment of the image are available.

In-screen measurement

Measurement with high general-purpose property is available with the frequently-used basic 13 types of measurement commands and automatic edge detection function.

Inspection table creation (Linked with Excel)

Data are transferred to arbitrary cells in Excel; therefore, it strongly support to create inspection tables.

In-image measurement (with calibration function)

After selecting 13 types of basic measurement commands, in-image measurement in the microscope image is available just by clicking.

Automatic edge detection

After clicking near the edge of the object, press the automatic edge detect button. The edge is immediately detected.

Measurement template

Measurement lines displayed on the images with measurement commands can be saved as a template. (When several measurement lines exist on one image, those measurement lines are saved in a lump)

Time lapse timer function

During image taking with a microscope, sometimes, an operator cannot stay by the microscope all the time. With this system, a long-time unmanned imaging is available.
※ It creates pseudo movies by combining consecutive time lapse images. Playing and saving such movie in AVI format file are available.

Real-time measurement with live images

Measurement on live images is available as well as on the saved image. This function is convenient when the measurement result is necessary in a short time.

Image adjustment function

Several settings are available for taking and saving microscope images more beautifully.

Reticle display useful for comparison inspection

With this function, the center line, ruler (X Y axis), scale (X Y axis), concentric circles (several), angle line can be displayed on the live image. Detailed settings are also available such as line type, color, pitch, etc.

Movie image function

As well as still images of the object under the microscope, the moving objects can also be filmed. Therefore, it can record even successive changes and tiny changes for sure.
